We are expanding our reach and impact — and we are looking for a Media Sales Representative to join our dynamic team.
Job Overview
As a Media Sales Representative, you will play a key role in growing our advertising and partnership portfolio across our print, digital, and event platforms. You will build relationships with businesses, organizations, and community stakeholders, helping them align their brand with our mission of inclusivity and community building.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who is passionate about media, storytelling, and diversity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Identify and build relationships with prospective advertisers, sponsors, and community partners.
- Sell across multiple platforms, including My Halifax Experience Magazine, Mosaic Festival of Arts & Culture, digital channels, and our training programs.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts by providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Prepare and deliver customized sales presentations and proposals.
- Collaborate with the marketing and editorial teams to create integrated media solutions for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities using CRM tools and provide regular sales reports.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in media, advertising, or events.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently.
- Familiarity with Atlantic Canada’s business landscape and newcomer communities is an asset.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
