Halifax, NS – The Halifax Experience Foundation and the Creative Hub is thrilled to announce the launch of its ground-breaking program, “Enhancing Healthcare Integration and Wellbeing in NS.” This transformative initiative, delivered by our innovative and collaborative center, the Creative Hub, aims to provide vital support to new immigrant healthcare workers in Nova Scotia.
By leveraging our collective expertise and that of our partners, we aim to enhance the effectiveness of recruitment efforts by providing comprehensive training in these critical areas. This collaborative endeavor underscores Creative Hub’s steadfast commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for new immigrants, particularly within the healthcare sector.
The success of this program has been made possible through an initial $100,000 community grant from the Office of Healthcare Professional Recruitment under Nova Scotia Ministry of Health. With this grant, we aim to deliver Cultural Competency Training sessions to organizations, conduct community workshops and inclusive events, and offer mentorship opportunities. Additionally, immigrants will benefit from one-to-one mental health support sessions, and healthcare professionals will participate in Community Integration programs and Diversity Recruitment Fairs.
”We are dedicated to making a significant contribution to the success, diversity, and excellence of Nova Scotia’s healthcare landscape,” stated Ifeanyi Emesih, CEO at My East Coast Experience and The Halifax Experience Foundation. “This project represents a crucial step towards ensuring that new immigrant healthcare workers receive the support and resources they need to thrive in their new community.”
