My East Coast Experience Media is proud to announce its founder and CEO, Ifeanyi Emesih, has been nominated to join the board of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.

“I am honoured, as an immigrant, to have the opportunity to represent this increasingly important segment of Halifax’s economy,” Emesih says. “This is evidence of the Chamber’s sincere efforts to be more diverse and inclusive, and is a great follow-up to the recently completed Amplifying Voices research we partnered on.”

Emesih brings an impressive background in entrepreneurship to his new role. He is the founder and CEO of My East Coast Experience Media Group, created the Most Inspiring Immigrants initiative, and launched My Halifax Experience magazine. He started a bursary program for international students, the Mosaic Festivals of Arts and Culture, the Récit Creative Agency, and the Creative Hub co-working office space in Bedford.

Emesih says he hopes his time on the board acts as an inspiration, leading more Black and immigrant-owned businesses to join and discover the resources the Chamber has to offer.
